The great chewing machine... red mouth parts of a Nymph Lubber

Though I guess I knew it was coming as I got closer and closer to take these shots, today was a first! A Lubber, perhaps this one, actually jumped over onto my lens. And when I looked down, it was staring me in the eye. We both said hello and I gently put my lens against the leaf and it walked off to continue eating!

When I started this description, I was going to write about the Lubber's many red mouth parts but it got so complicated for me... who is totally passionate about Lubbers at this point... that I knew that it would be too complicated for you.
