ASSAULT NEAR ARRAS APRIL 1918

            An interesting postcard that I did not know.
The battlefield just after the action. The mention "Arras No119" refers to a series of photo cards with tanks and destroyed cities.
I think this is a 1917 german counteroffensive or maybe the spring offensive?
In the foreground a dead soldier and a machine gun resting against the only tree in the area. I have no more information on this card at the moment.

Update :
After having seen another photo of the same series including the 121 located in Estaire. I believe this photo was taken during Operation Georgette in April 1918.
