National Express 242 517, Köln Messe/Deutz

            Sinds de nieuwe dienstregeling van 13 December 2015 rijdt de nieuwe vervoerder National Express de diensten tussen Krefeld en Rheine (RE7) en tussen Bonn en Wuppertal (RE48). Omdat nog niet alle Talent-2 treinstellen geleverd zijn rijd National Express op RE48 met vervangende treinen. Hiervoor worden bij DB 2 rijtuig stammen gehuurd en worden her en der locomotieven gehuurd. Op de zonnige 28 Januari 2016 is de van Hector Rail gehuurde Taurus 242 517 onderweg met trein RB24612 van Köln HBF naar Wuppertal - Oberbarmen terwijl deze Köln Messe/Deutz verlaat.
