HoneyBee_on_Ceanothus_8590a - a photo on Flickriver

            A common honey bee browses on a Ray Hartman Ceanothus in Sunnyvale, CA. Note that there's no evidence of pollen on its hind leg; perhaps this is a male? There were at least a dozen of honey bees on this ceanothus and many were pollen-laden females.

This is a test shot with a used Canon 7D body and my own 100mm lens.
