Church Hill, St. John’s, Terre-Neuve (Newfoundland), Canada

            Une vue de la rue pentue Church Hill à partir de Duckworth St à St. John’s. 

Un large escalier public relie Duckworth St et George St, au cœur de la vieille-ville, une des plus vieille d’Amérique du Nord. Elle date de la fin du 16e siècle, quand le commerce n’en était qu’à ses débuts. C'est devenu un avant-poste commercial pour les Basques, les Français, les Espagnols, les Portugais et les Anglais. 

En grande partie détruite par le grand incendie de 1846, la plupart des édifices de St. John's date du 19e siècle.
