Class 73s at Bamford Station, 2nd time around and still late - 5104

            With nobody else about, and just a solitary 'spotter' or passenger on the platform at left, GBRf class 73962, ex-E3594/E364, 'Dick Mabbett' hurtles past at what felt like around 70mph, the passage through here happening in less than a minute; maybe the set was trying to make up some of the lost time and in fact by the time it reached Chinley at 16:27, the other side of Cowburn Tunnel to the west of Edale, it was only 15 minutes down. This is the Colas Rail operated, Network Rail PLPR train, with 4 coaches in tow on the 1Q41, Derby R.T.C. via Hope Valley to Crewe C.S.(LNWR Sidings) working, no coaches were identified due to both the angle of shot and the rapidity with which the whole lot flashed through the station.
