            Zippy was the trading name of United Transport's minibus operation based in Preston which was acquired by Ribble in March 1988, having operated for little more than a year. Ribble itself passed into Stagecoach ownership in 1989 and rebranded its Minilink networks as Zippy, some of the ex-Zippy buses being transferred away from Preston and introducing the mainly yellow livery to other towns across the region as shown by Robin Hood bodied Iveco 49-10 055, D 732 YBV pictured in the rain at Dalton Square, Lancaster when temporary stops were in operation due to major roadworks in the city centre.

Stagecoach's stripes swept away all former liveries, though the Zippy brand survived until around the turn of the century, albeit on Stagecoach stripes.
