Rolling Thunder - a photo on Flickriver

Rolling Thunder

            Roaring into Lara 5 hours behind schedule, A71 leads the charge with A77, XR552, G527 and G525 in tow as they haul 9102 Mildura 'Fruit Flyer' goods to Appleton Docks in Melbourne from Merbein, Vic (near Mildura).

G525 was declared a failure at Merbein resulting in it remaining as the last unit for the trip back to Melbourne. Commonly, the 'G' Class unit would always lead this service, if not the XR class. Already running hours behind, A71 took the lead to Geelong where units XR552 and G527 were added in as '3rd and 4th' unit. 

This certainly is the most impressive 'lash-up' I've seen to date.
