Front view of a 1984 Cromwell F135 County helmet of London Fire Brigade in Yellow (Fireman/fighter Rank). It is made by Helmets Ltd. This helmet replaces the earlier Black LFB helmet of the same make and model. It is made of a Green Plastic inner shell with a Compressed Cork outer shell and covered with painted Canvas. This model has the pointed front peak. It was this type in use at the time of the Kings Cross Tragedy. These helmets were replaced in LFB service by the Pacific F3 in 1988-89 but continued to be made until 1994. This example was in operational use before it was purchased by me.
Also of note is that this helmet was the first type used in the TV series "London's Burning" on ITV from the 1986 pilot movie until 1989.
