In these portraits of women who work as prostitutes on the streets most stripped of the manufactured glitz and glamour that is Las Vegas, we see the defiant joy of a glamour that forces its way past the cuts, bruises, and other marks of desolation that addiction creates. These women gaze into the camera and the camera, without judgment, gazes back, all the while subverting the poses and props of glamour and dehumanization of poverty and prostitution.
