            Dressed as a carnivorous plant lady, I set out to get fed during the small hours of the night. Not bugs, but anything else would’ve done. A bartender watched me burn the little sugar remaining in my blood as I made my way to the end of the bar in my Halloween finest. He said, “catchy clothes”. I said, “THANKS!”, because they were. Bug catchers. Get it? Then he walked over to the menu I was reading on the wall and said it again: CATCHY CLOTHES. So I’m all, HAHAHA YEAH THA— wait what?…. as he pointed to a huge “kitchen closed” sign. I ordered a water and went to the bathroom to pout, where I read (and took this photo of) the writing on the wall: check your ego at the door, lady. I’m just happy to be here, y’all. Now can we please get mama some Circle K donuts before I am unalived?
