The White Hart Pub

With the arched entrance to Gunthorpe Street (formerly George Yard), to the right of the frame.

Martha Tabram went into George Yard with a soldier she had met while with her friend Mary Ann Connelly shortly before midnight on August 6 1888. She was found horrifically murdered in George Yard Building which once stood at the opposite end of the street.

Jack the Ripper suspect George Chapman also worked as a barber in the basement of the White Hart Pub, but if I recall correctly, not at the time of the murders.

Taken at the start of a Ripper tour using my Daguerreotype lens from Lomography.
