Bus spotting at Tyseley station (pjs,1160)

            Peter took this view of Tyseley in the mid-1960's. The image is of a well cared for station in full use with waiting rooms, toilets and a neat intact canopy. Plenty of mechanical signalling is in operation, the one on the far right controlled the approach to the carriage sidings.  In the centre of the picture is what looks like a shortened telegraph pole, does it have a telephone in the box attached to it? 
The Class 116 on the right is on a working to Wolverhampton (Low Level), the unit in the centre is bound for Henley-in-Arden.
The platforms are clear and do not have the flower beds which, although a good idea at the time, never got the upkeep they needed until recently.
A Birmingham City Transport bus is visible on the road bridge, it is working a 36 service from Stechford to Highgate Road. Peter Shoesmith c1966
