Half Dome Climb from Mt. Broderick - a photo on Flickriver

Four photographers collaborated to photograph Griff Joyce and Justin Leech as they rock climbed at night up Snake Dike on Yosemite's Half Dome. We pooled our raw images afterward. The second of the four photographers, David Hunter, climbed up Mt. Broderick. This positioned Polaris, the North Star, right over Half Dome. The rock scramble (with a pack of camera and camping gear) was non-trivial, and he barely arrived in time. But he was successful, and I processed his shots into this image.
