Rainbowed Waterfall - a photo on Flickriver

For a bunch of years, I've wanted to photograph Yosemite Falls with a rainbow on it against the shadowed cliff. I previously captured a rainbow on it, but I really wanted the enhanced contrast of the shadowed cliff.

This alignment is only possible for a narrow window each year. I used the calculator that I wrote that also predicts moonbows. I tried to shoot this last year, but got stormed on. This year, I snowshoed 14 miles from Hwy 41/Wawona Rd, pulling a sled full of snow camping gear, to Glacier Point. Normally it would be possible to start hiking from Badger Pass, but this year the road was closed for no reason. I was in the fog on my first morning, but on the second morning, sunlight hit the waterfall just as needed. It was beautiful.
