            White Mountains Drive - 12/15/2023

Canon 7D with Sigma 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM.

My bride and I like to try to devote at least one day a week to some sort of outing.  On this day, we drove into the White Mountains of New Hampshire.  Because of construction activities, we had to take a different route. It definitely worked out!

After leaving the Information Center in North Conway, we made our way up to Rt 302 and the beautiful Crawford Notch drive.

We found a place to pull over next to a sign signifying the Frankenstein Trestle.  I wasn't able to get an angle to photograph the Trestle, but I did find several items of interest to capture.

I noticed a pathway which led me to this access road.  Once I arrived hear, I could hear some water running.  Upon further investigation, I discovered what I believe to be the Saco River.

There was some evidence of some sort of camp or compound which was either permanently abandoned, or more likely...abandoned for the winter.  More on that later.
