The Great Chase - a photo on Flickriver

The Great Chase

            An event I had l had long forgotten was the celebration of the 50th anniversary of LAUPT. Both UP 8444 and SP 4449 pulled passenger trains through the Cajon on the same day. I picked Keenbrook for the location where I though i would catch both trains in the same frame. While I managed that it turns out both Blue Cut and up near current day SIlverwood offered better photos. Ultimately this is what I got on that May 9th, 1989
