(026/14) Combarro

Aproximadamente a unos seis kilómetros de la ciudad de Pontevedra, en dirección a O Grove, aparece el pueblo de Combarro, uno de los enclaves más pintorescos y originales de toda la región de las Rías Baixas. Todos aquéllos que han oído hablar de este lugar lo relacionan inmediatamente con una de las construcciones más tradicionales de Galicia: el hórreo.

Construido directamente sobre el granito y al lado del mar, su conjunto histórico representa todo un hallazgo para el visitante que busque la esencia de la arquitectura popular gallega. Se encuentra escondido al borde de la Ría de Pontevedra, y es precisamente esa ubicación privilegiada la que ha permitido que llegue hasta el siglo XXI manteniendo intactos una estructura urbanística y un estilo arquitectónico más propios del siglo XVIII o XIX.
