Ferruginous Hawk (Buteo regalis) - a photo on Flickriver

            Near Duck Lake in south Fort Collins, Colorado.

Unlike most of my other FEHA pictures, this one is of an immature. Note the white leg linings, or "pantaloons". It's always exciting when you get the bird to stare right at you in the photo. This is a digiscoped image on a dull gray day.
