1990 Mercedes-Benz 300D (W124)

            This old Merc is ageing very nicely. The W124 series enjoyed an 11-year production run and there are still plenty of examples in fine fettle on the roads today, 15 years after the last one rolled out of Bremen. The subtle yet timeless styling has also aged very well, and probably better than the current Merc range - hard to believe this is 20 years old!

Mercedes diesels are renowned for their longetivity. The derv W124 appeared from 1990 until 1993, as the 300D 2.5 Turbo, with a 2.5 litre five cylinder turbocharged engine that was also later used in the Ssangyong Musso, as well as in the Sprinter van.
