El Museu Nacional d´Art de Catalunya

            The National Palace, main headquarters of the National Art Museum of Catalonia.

The National Museum of Art of Catalonia, also known by its acronym MNAC, is located in the National Palace, in Montjuïc Park, in the city of Barcelona, Spain. It stands out for its collection of Romanesque art, considered one of the most complete in the world.

The current museum was formed in 1990 with the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, created in 1945, and the Museum of Art of Catalonia, opened in 1934. A new numismatic section was added to the pieces from these museums. as well as the funds of the General Library of Art History. Later, in 1996, a new department dedicated to photography joined.
