Mount Herman - a photo on Flickriver

Mount Herman

            Photo taken July 4, 2022 on the trail to the top of Mount Herman, a 9,063 foot peak in Colorado. We saw several hang gliders high over Mount Herman as we approached from the town of Monument, Colorado. The trail we hiked started well up the mountain. It has a very small parking area. The trail itself is a steep 1.4 mile hike, but the view is rewarding. From the summit you can see the town of Monument, the Air Force Academy and Palmer Lake.  Overall length of the trail is 2.24 miles roundtrip. Photo copyright Clif Bosler, 2022.
