Valley of Fire to Orion - a photo on Flickriver

            The constellation of Orion is nestled between the cliff faces near my campsite at Valley of Fire State Park, with the Orion Loop, the Orion Nebula, the Horsehead and Flame nebulae,  and the large diffuse cloud known poetically as Sh2-264 at the top.  Off to the left is the Rosette Nebula.  The brightest star in the sky -- Sirius -- is just poking over the cliff shelf.

This was taken from Valley of Fire State Park on October 11, 2021 with some ambient moonlight low on the horizon.  Both the foreground and sky were taken with a full-spectrum modified Canon EOS 6D with a Canon 16-35L Mk.III at 28mm and f/4.  Sky images were tracked using an iOptron SkyGuider Pro with 4 minute exposures (stack of 4).
