            Lately, I've garnered a new appreciation for black and white photography. I've been taking a lot of photographs with black and white in mind for the final processing. I think nailing a B&W shot is actually a harder than in color, at least it seems that way to me. 

Anyway, I took this at the Red Rocks in Denver. I'm not a morning person, so when I got up there before sunrise, I was amazed by what I saw. The landscape aside, I felt like such a lazy bum when I saw the sheer number of people up early and out exercising in the 35F degree temperature. There were individuals jogging and then there were organized groups of people with trainers running up and down these stairs. 

I would like to say that it really motivated to get my act together and be one of those early risers. I like to think it would really help me get so much more done everyday if I got up early. But, alas, I just kept thinking of how I wanted to be back in the warm covers in my bed.  =\

I have this same shot without the jogger but felt that this image encompassed everything from that morning.
