The Wide, Wonderful World of Pumpkins

            I made this autumn capture back in rural Maryland when my girlfriend and I attended a fall festival celebrating the season.
An old farm in Middletown, Md was converted to a family entertainment venue, replete with a huge corn patch, farm animals, a corn maze, food and drink kiosks, a picnic area, fire pits, fireworks, and much, much more. (I sound like a "barker". "Step right up, folks. See a calf born with two heads!" No. Summers Farm does not have that. But it is a must see and a must visit when you're anywhere nearby and when they hold their seasonal festivals. Kids of all ages will absolutely love it.

Here, Dad and daughter are off to pick out the perfect Halloween pumpkin, what promises to be the start of a delightful autumn tradition. Only eight short months away, here's hoping you share
some family fun with your kids. Or, absent that, with borrowed kids. Or rented kids. Or your friends who generally act like kids,
which is almost always a good thing. And, remember. Wearing an orange shirt, blouse or sweatshirt can't hurt the case bit.
