Small White Leek - Allium tricoccum - Alliaceae: Onion family

Most commonly known as Ramps in my area of the state.
Ramps can form thick colonies of lush green leaves in early spring. The edible leaves have a mild oniony flavor.

It's flowers are not to be seen till June, long after the leaves have withered and gone.

A white, 6-parted, 1/4 inch wide flower. The flowers form a 1 1/4 inch erect, rounded cluster.
Plant height: 4 to 12 inches tall.

Native

Likes a part shade to shade, moist rich woods habitat.
