Camel Ride

            Considering the harsh rugged conditions, you don’t see many vehicles broken down at the ‘road’ side in Mauritania. Anyway the Toyota Hilux is almost indestructible.

Evidently, it was even designed to carry camels as this picture shows. Camel and driver were seen a day’s drive east of Atar, near Tenquent, heading to the market before a problem with the brakes delayed them.
