Long Lens Macro - Blooming Jumpping Cholla Cactus-3

            This exact location I photographed probably more than half of all of my 2011 images, this area of the Sororan Desert had so much wildlife that everyday I would end with what I call cover material.  During my stay in this suburban ranch area I one-day noticed this jumping Cholla Cactus was blooming, but it was not shot for a Macro Lens.  The blooms were just way to high atop the cactus - hence the tittle, a Macro shot done with a 600 mm APO.  Directly behind the blooms were these massive Poloverde trees (olive green barked trees) that added such a nice blends of tonality so the entire frame would flow together.  

For those of you that have never had he chance to visit the Arizona Sororan Desert - just remember something is always blooming - it's the desert of six seasons, it's one of the most amazing areas on this earth - it's a must scheduled trip for Nature photographers but just like anything, it's knowing where to go and that's where I come in - a Professional Photographers Guide to all of the hidden treasures of Arizona.
