How the Little Brook Falls - a photo on Flickriver

            This little brook (about 30cm wide) is In one of the local nature preserves. Its source is in a forest higher up, and it flows throughout the year. This photo is from a section about 10m long in which the brook comes down a steep, rocky slope. 

NB - I liked capturing the contrast between the brook's turbulent flow and the green plants along its edges. By using a shutter speed of 1/30s and a motion-stabilized lens, the turbulent flow is apparent but the greenery stays sharp. 

Location: Au Tal Nature Preserve, Riehen BS Switzerland.
