Approaching Dovercourt - a photo on Flickriver

            Greater Anglia Desiro, 360 110 approaches Dovercourt Station on the single track branch line. The line on the left was only used for freight after the line was singled for passenger working. But when Harwich lost out to Felixstowe across the water for freight it fell into disuse. The yard at Harwich town is still there but heavily overgrown and fenced off. The line beyond the station to the old ferry connection still runs across the road but has been built on after that.
