UP SD40-2 #3300 "United Way" - a photo on Flickriver

Union Pacific SD40-2 #3300, specially painted in the "Pulling For United Way" scheme, was just one of close to 100 SD40 types in storage at the former DRGW Burnham Shops in Denver in 2010. This photo was taken with permission, and the employee who showed us around on that day was very accommodating as he accompanied us up and down the rows of stored locomotives. While many of these engines never worked for UP again, #3300 was one of the lucky ones, being rebuilt as an SD40N in 2014.
