Griffith Observatory, LA - a photo on Flickriver

One of the best museums in the country, the Griffith Observatory trip my son John and I shared was a highlight of my annual trip to LA. I'd never heard of it before my son suggested the trip we made following a visit to the Getty Center (my ultimate favorite for art museums). This photo captures in a foreshortened view, a grand obelisk featuring prominent figures in the development of Astronomy, the architecture of the 30's and present day tourists, lucky to be able to climb around everywhere on the building and grounds. The set is being built now to share these special wonders and I highly encourage interested folks to plan a trip to visit.
