            To mark the 175th anniversary of the Inchicore Railway Works, Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail opened the country's largest railway engineering facility to the public for a celebratory open day on Saturday 7th May, 2022.

Various engines, coaches, carriages & workshop maintenance facilities were open to the public offering a rare & unique insight into Irish Rail operations, both past & present.

Irish Rail Tokyu commuter 2800 class railcars 2805/06 seen to the left, with General Motors 071 class loco 078 to the right.
