Born for the streets - a photo on Flickriver

This weekend i was visiting my grandparents in Romania. After a 12 hour car-drive, i was getting out of the car and imediately heard a "meeeooooww". I was looking around and this little kitten was running straight towards me, like she was waiting for me. Her age must be something between 5 and 8 weeks. I started to pet her a bit and she started to purr. So when i was getting my luggage into the house of my grandparents, she followed me all the way. On the next day when i was getting out of the bed and out of the house, she was waiting in front of the door so i gave her some food and cat milk. She must have been one of the many street cats in romania and maybe the family, where she was born didn't care for her. After i gave her the food, i think she knew, that she has found a new home here. My grandfather yelled at me that i shouldn't give her food cause she won't leave when she is getting something to eat here but i told him he has to give her a home and watch for her. So now this little kitten has a new home at my grandparents house and my gradma told me, she will watch for her and give her food, i'm pretty happy about that fact :)

I called this cat "Lena", after my niece. Because i know that my grandparents are sad because they can't see my niece very often so i'm sure they will watch for that cat if she has the same name as my niece :)
