Paris Zombie Walk ~ 2019

            I wanted to illustrate the difference between something "straight off the sensor" and an image that passed through Rawtherapees "Capture Sharp" (new in a recent release).  You can see that the "sharpness" of the image easily matches that of the Sony SEL OSS 50mm f/1.8 "out of the camera" photos.

These are re-processed images from a Paris Zombie Walk.  The reason I'm doing this is to see how I feel about the differences between a wonderful little Sony 50mm f/1.8 SEL OSS and, shot during a later event, the incredible Nikon Nikkor K 85mm f/1.8 pre-Ai.

These were made using the old manual focus Nikon Nikkor 85mm f/1.8 K.

There are differences between the two lenses.  The question for me: Is there enough difference between the two rendition approaches to go one direction or the other.  That is, use old manual focus Nikkors (which render beautifully) or return to using modern AF aspheric optics?

So these are being "thrown against the wall", so to speak, so I can just site back and look at them and consider the subject.
