c - a photo on Flickriver

            This was taken probably not long before I was born. Mom doesn't look pregnant mostly because she was really little- about 100 lbs.- and I was an underweight preemie! I was born at 8 months, weighing 4 lbs. 11 ounces, and dropping to 4 lbs. 6 oz., and from another photo I have of her, I know she hardly showed anything up until 7 months. Judging by this photo taken at my Godparents' house, Mom wasn't feeling too great! I don't think I've ever seen a pic of her looking this bad when she was young, so I'm thinking morning sickness? The dogs belonged to both Aunt Louse, my Godmother, and I think the one she's holding was one of hers, too, but I'm not sure. The cat was definitely Aunt Louise's, as she was a cat person, and Mom wasn't. 

This was a black and white shot and I've colorized it. It wasn't an easy one to do, and I'm not entirely satisfied with it, so I might go back and play with it some more later on. I do love how colorization brings things to life. The one thing I wish I knew was what color everything was. there's no one to ask, so I have just guessed at it. Mom's dress appeared to have little flowers, so I did a bit of nondescript detail on that, and colored the house blue as I thought that would be prettier than many other colors as a background. I
