Altitude-Azimuth plot of all H47 comet observations

            GnuPlot (Dec 17, 2009) of the Altitude-Azimuth coordinates of all comet observations at H47. It is an image of the region of the sky visible at H47. The gaps show the outline of the trees and house  plus the limits of the telescope. It is generated from the H47 Comet Observations Log. Several java programs are used to routinely download all published  comet observations from the MPC, catalog them by comet designation and time, and update the H47 Observer's log among other things. The program calculates the sky altitude and azimuth sky position for each H47 astrometric observation using the GPS location of H47. The Gnuplot routine is run periodically to update this plot. Comets transit at many altitudes in the sky but most are near the ecliptic.
