Parque Natural de las Lagunas de Ruidera (Panorámica)

El Parque Natural de las Lagunas de Ruidera es un espacio natural protegido situado en la comunidad autónoma de Castilla-La Mancha, España.
El Parque está formado por un conjunto de quince lagunas, de extremada belleza, situadas longitudinalmente a lo largo del valle del río Pinilla o Guadiana Viejo, separadas y conectadas entre sí por barreras de formación tobácea o travertino, que forman cascadas o arroyos que enlazan cada laguna superior con la siguiente inferior; por lo que no son lagunas, en sentido estricto, sino "remansos" fluviales. También forma parte del parque natural el embalse de Peñarroya.
Dentro de los límites del parque se encuentran también el castillo de Peñarroya, las ruinas del castillo de Rochafrida, la famosa cueva de Montesinos donde Cervantes hizo pasar una noche a Don Quijote y la casa del Rey en el pueblo de Ruidera.

Natural Park Ruidera is a protected natural area located in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain.
The park consists of a set of fifteen lagoons of extreme beauty, located longitudinally along the valley of the Guadiana river Pinilla or old, separated and connected by tuffaceous training barriers or travertine, forming waterfalls and streams that link each upper lake to the next lower, so no gaps are, strictly speaking, but "pools" river. Also part of the natural park Peñarroya reservoir.
Within the park boundaries are also Peñarroya Castle, the ruins of the castle of Rochafrida, the famous cave of Montesinos, where Cervantes was a night to Don Quixote and the King's house in the village of Ruidera.
