2497- Basaltic Rock - a photo on Flickriver

            I shot this at the southern tip of Grand Manan Island. This is a volcanic rock that has some interesting formations, likely caused by millions of years of tidal action.
The tides in the Bay of Fundy are the highest in the world, reaching 10M in height (more on that later!).
I used my 150-600 lens to get in close for the details!
