            Ross's Goose, Anser Rossii, 23 in. / 58.4 cm.  Locally COMMON in central California, elsewhere seen in small numbers mixed with Snow Geese, Anser caerulescens. Forages in agricultural fields and coastal saltmarshes. Roosts on sheltered water.
