I'm Really 'Lichen' This Birthday Hike Guest~ Ilia Underwing Moth Caterpillar (Lichen Form) (Catocala ilia)

            Wow! How cool it was to have a first encounter with an awesome 'lifer' caterpillar on my birthday hike with Chaney yesterday! Thankfully, this amazing Ilia Underwing Moth Caterpillar wasn't hidden in lichen, but rather obvious to the eye as Chaney found it on a dark oak tree! I was stunned at how much it resembled lichen!
