The Tempio di Flora in Parco Durazzo Pallavicini, a narrative series of gardens built between 1840-46 in Pegli, Italy, just west of Genoa, once was filled with mirrors and frescos. Now abandoned to the elements, the octagonal pavillion is occupied by birds guarded by a goose that prevents entry to the building or the gardens beyond.
