DSC_1886 - a photo on Flickriver

            Test shot of the moon on September 6th. Tried again the next night. The photo taken yesterday and this photo were taken within two minutes of each other, but one day apart. I think I’ve found why the first photo was so soft. Image stabilization was enabled on that shot, and the camera was on a tripod. This confuses the stabilization mechanism. This shot, taken one day later, isn’t much better, but the night was extremely hazy. Even with all the factors making both shots less than perfect, you can see the moon waning.
