Yorkshire Dales near Sedbergh - a photo on Flickriver

            Historically, the beautiful small town of Sedbergh was part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, and although it now lies in Cumbria it is just within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Confusing.

Notwithstanding local political boundaries, this area must be one of the most attractive parts of the Dales, with the fells to the north of Sedbergh providing a beautiful backdrop. This shot was taken from the side of the road in Garsdale, which leads from Sedbergh over to Hawes.
