USS Midway, .09, #3 - a photo on Flickriver

            The USS Midway was the US Navy's longest serving carrier (1945-1992), & the largest ship in the world for a decade.  Built during the desperate days of WW-II, Midway's final journey occurred in 2004 as she was towed across San Diego Bay to her new home at Navy Pier, where she officially opened as the San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum, June 07, 2004
