Cartoons on TV, in theaters, and in toy stores

            Every few months the students from the Museum School, based at Grand Rapids Public Museum, design and install a mini-exhibit on the 2nd floor near the elevators. This time the subject is cartoons of many generations. Artifacts are protected by plexiglass. Above is a loop film with examples of cartoons in motion, as they would have been seen by viewers long ago. An essay for interpreting the many forms of cartoon during several decades is printed on the left-side panel. Pursuing the written presentation, the right-side panel continues, but with much more illustration built in.
