Dam cold in Wisconsin - a photo on Flickriver

            After waking up to -12 F (-24 C) air temperature, and -30 F (-34 C) windchills, I decided to wait for the "warmest" part of the day to take some photos at the Rock River dam.  It was -1 F (-18 C) when I took these photos, with a windchill of -20 F (-29 C).

And in temperatures this cold, the sounds of the shifting ice are always exciting hear, as it creaks, cracks, and booms.
