Fenêtre qui se reflète sur le plancher de la salle à manger du bistrot du pavillon Jean-Noël Desmarais du Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal. 

Ce qui m'intéresse ici : superposition naturelle de deux plans qui attirent l'attention, l'un, sur une surface proche (réfléchissante, inégale, monochrome, jouant avec des angles aigus et des angles obtus), l'autre, sur un objet distant (fenêtre réfléchie, déformée, colorée, jouant avec des angles droits). Métaphore de notre existence sur laquelle se reflètent les lois de l'univers alors qu'on n'en voit que la surface. Version moderne du mythe de la caverne de Platon.

Window reflected on the dining room floor of the bistro in the Jean-Noël Desmarais pavilion of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. 

What interests me here: the natural superimposition of two planes that draw attention, one to a nearby surface (reflective, uneven, monochrome, playing with acute and obtuse angles), the other to a distant object (reflected window, distorted, colored, playing with right angles). A metaphor for our existence, on which the laws of the universe are reflected, even though we can only see its surface. A modern version of Plato's myth of the cave.
