20110825 Dome

The old city observatory, on Calton Hill, in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Built in the late 1800s, the dome was finally closed in 2009. It has reopened since my visit, and now serves to host art exhibitions.

Shot with a Nikon D40, fitted with a Tamron 70-300mm F4/5.6 DI LD (Nikon AFS) lens and processed in GIMP and Photoscape.
