"Adorable sorpresa" - a photo on Flickriver

            Nuevamente me adentré en el bosque, en busca de búhos, a quienes escuchaba prácticamente todas las noches en los alrededores. 

Después de caminar por varias horas, sin suerte de encontrarlos, llegué a lo que parecía un pequeño estanque y escuché un chapoteo en el agua. Al principio ensé que podrían tratarse solo de simples patos, pero al mirar hacia el agua me llevé un susto al ver algo con forma de gran serpiente sumergirse.

Fue una gran sorpresa (y gran alivio) cuando saco su cabeza del agua y vi que se trataba de una adorable nutria de rio, un asombroso animal al que jamás imaginé encontrar tan cerca de casa! Aunque solo fue por unos segundos, sin duda alguna la naturaleza siempre te sorprende cuando menos te lo esperas y yo gradezco tanto a la fotografía por hacerme vivir estos increíbles encuentros.
